Dan J. Kirk

Creative Consultant

Dan has worked in Pittsburgh educational and community theatre since 2003 but recently took a semi-retirement from directing in order to focus on writing. He has directed and produced shows for McKeesport Little Theater and Penn State New Kensington, as well as other groups, but primarily worked with Accent Music from 2013 up until its transition to Pittsburgh Performance Society. Dan's debut Novel, Between the Innings, was published in 2018, and his full-length play, Parlour Games, was produced in 2018. He has no musical skills but will always talk about the greatest rock-and-roll band of all time, Rush; just ask his wife, Michelle, and their three kids - they'll tell you he is obsessed. Dan's full-time job is teaching college composition for South College's Online Division here in Pittsburgh. His motto for kids is simple: Work hard, have fun, be kind!
